What to eat
The gastronomy of Viana do castelo is the main attraction of the region, being stress the rice with cod, Octopus à Margarida da Praça, rojões à minhota, Baked cod, grilled crab, cod-lobster and lamprey rice.
The wine produced in this region is the Green wine, white or red. This wine is of course gas and has a low alcohol content. Comes with fine fish and seafood.
For desserts, we can enjoy rich and varied sweets traditionally made-up as the São Gonçalo, Angel's sweet talk, the lane, sweet rice and noodles, the Sidonians, formigos and milk cream or pie de Viana.
